We had our best race ever yesterday! I participated in the first two GOB regattas, and I helped organize this one, and in my opinion, this one was the best ever!
The weather was perfect. Temperatures around 70 degrees, with wind starting out light, but building to about 15 at the finish.
We had about 45 boats. Everyone had a great attitude. The camaraderie was awesome. I believe we found boats for all who wanted to crew, and we made some new friends along the way.
The restaurant was great. They closed to the public, as promised. The atmosphere and food were terrific! The sailors commented on what a great venue it was, and there was plenty of food and libations for all.
The feel of the crowd was indescribable; everyone was just so happy, and having such a good time!
I wish you could have been there, but I think Good Old Boat Magazine was well-represented in spirit. We are all looking forward to next year. Thanks for all your support and promotion.
